On April 29, 2012, the Make-A-Wish Foundation will hold its third annual World Wish Day event to commemorate the first wish granted by the organization on April 29, 1980.
Disney Store, along with several other companies, will take part in the celebration by donating up to $15,000 to Make-A-Wish by giving $1 for each of the 3″ Jiminy Cricket Silver Vinylmation figures (pictured here) sold between April 29, 2012 (the official release date) and May 31, 2012. In addition, Disney Store will donate 5% of its sales on April 29 in the United States to Make-A-Wish, up to $50,000.
Make-A-Wish will also be running the video below, which features John Cena, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Buddy Valastro, Jon Stewart, Nigel Barker and Tiffani Thiessen, on the Thomson Reuters’ electronic billboard in Times Square.

Jiminy Cricket is often cited by Disney Store President Jim Fielding as being his favorite Disney character. Fielding also serves as Global Chairman of the Make-a-Wish Foundation International.
